Centenarian gets P50,000 from Mariveles LGU

A centenarian received P50,000 incentive from Mariveles local government unit.

Mayor AJ Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia led the simple ceremony of the awarding of the P50,000 check to centenarian “Tatay Antonio” from Barangay Baseco held at municipal town hall a week ago.

The centenarian and his family profusely expressed gratitude to local officials for the recognition and generosity.

The ceremony was also attended by Municipal Administrator Tito Catipon and Sangguniang Bayan members.

It will be remembered that Catipon when he was still councilor authored the ordinance giving financial incentives to senior citizens in Mariveles: 80 years old, P10,000; 90 years old, P20,000; and 100years old, P50,000. Sangguniang Bayan members who attended the ceremony were Councilor Susan Murillo, Councilor Ronald Arcenal, Councilor Joey Carandang, Councilor Vonnel Isip, Councilor Omar Cornejo, Councilor Ivan Ricafrente and Councilor Dan Banal.

The incentive from Mariveles LGU is in addition to the P100,000 given by the national government to Filipino centenarians.
